Setting the Table for 9 Billion

The world's population is expected to reach 9 billion by 2050. Currently, more than 925 million people don't get enough to eat. More people die from hunger each year than from AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined.

But hunger is not about too many people and too little food--it's about inequality. For example, Guatemala exports millions of dollars in food each year, but the country's poorest people can't afford to feed their families.

We will be setting up a “Table for 9 Billion” on Saturday June 4th to discuss Oxfam America's new food justice campaign and how Hoosiers can help.

When: Saturday June 4th 8:00am to 12:00pm
Where: Binford Farmers Market, 62nd and Binford Blvd.

Come learn how we can support small scale farmers globally, while we support Hoosier farmers locally. All of us, no matter who we are, can do something to help. Join us on June 4th to find out what you can do to educate others and help get the word out.
